254th ACS National Meeting & Exposition
Washington D.C.
August 20-24, 2017
Together with the American Chemical Society (ACS), Virginia Tech is pleased to host the Fall 2017 Graduate Student Symposium at the 254th ACS National Meeting & Exposition in Washington D.C.
The overarching theme for our symposium is “Standing on the Shoulders of Giants: Developing Chemistries for Improved Global Health.” Through this theme, we have assembled a group of well-established leaders in biomedical science to speak at the symposium. We have encouraged them to present new and exciting results but also to highlight their inspiration from their mentors in the context of their own career. The technical focus will be on recent breakthroughs in biomaterials, drug delivery, bioimaging, synthetic chemistry, peptide analysis, DNA sequence effects, analytical techniques, and cutting-edge medical technology, with the goal of providing attendees with a well-rounded perspective on current trends and advances impacting human well-being.
